Send Files up to 1 GB
Most e-mail accounts impose a limit on the size of files you can attach and send as an attachment. With the exception of G-Mail, most ISP's set that limit attachments at 5 MegaBytes. Yousendit allows users to send files up to 1 GigaByte, securely via e-mail.
The servifce is easy to use. All you have to do is enter the e-mail address of the recipient, "browse" through your hard drive to locate the file you wnat to attach, enter your e-mail address and then add a message if you want. That's it. Click the "Send it" button and your file is uploaded to the Yousendit servers. Your recipient then receives a message with a link to download the file from the Yousendit server. Yousendit utilizes high-speed, encrypted transfers for the upload and download. The file is then available for seven days or 25 downloads, whichever comes first.
According to the site's Privacy Policy, "We collect the email addresses of YouSendIt recipients and senders for the purpose of logging and measuring usage. YouSendIt does not rent, sell, or share personal information about you with non-affiliated companies."
