Paychex Joins American Bar Association to Offer Attorneys Nationwide Free Continuing Legal Education
New Program Available via Teleconference Through May 2005
The American Bar Association (ABA) and Paychex, Inc. have teamed up to offer attorneys nationwide free access to continuing legal education (CLE) through a series of live teleconferences. Topics of the monthly seminars will include arbitration issues, medical malpractice liability, and litigation strategies. The teleconferences are accredited for up to 1.2 hours of Mandatory Continuing Legal Education in 35 of the 40 states that require these credits for their practicing attorneys.
"This unique program strengthens the relationship Paychex has with the American Bar Association," said Walter Turek, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Paychex in a press release announcing the programs' availability. "Paychex sees attorneys as important partners in serving the needs of U.S. businesses, and we believe that offering these seminars in conjunction with the ABA provides lawyers with convenient access to a valuable professional service."
"We have always been happy with the benefits and savings that Paychex offers our Members," added ABA Standing Committee on Membership Chairman Maury Poscover in the same release. "The new CLE offer shows once again just how beneficial the Paychex-ABA relationship is for our Members nationwide."
The one-hour teleconferences will be accessible via a toll-free telephone number on the third Wednesday of every month through May 18, 2005. A different seminar will be offered each month. All teleconference content is provided by the ABA. The teleconferences are valued at up to $110 each.
Attorneys interested in taking advantage of the Paychex-ABA CLE program can visit the ABA Web site at www.abanet.org/cle/paychex for detailed information about teleconference topics.
