NOTE: Google Once Again Recognizes USPS Tracking Numbers

Google no longer automatically recognizes US Postal Service (USPS) Delivery Confirmation tracking numbers entered into its Web search box. Previously, entering a USPS tracking number into the search box would return a results page with a link to retrieve updated tracking information for the shipment associated with the tracking number. Currently, entering a USPS tracking number into Google's Web search box returns a "Your search did not match any documents" error message.

This change may be due to the USPS' recent switch from 20 digit tracking numbers to 26 digit tracking numbers for its Delivery Confirmation service.
